LawnBeast LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our"), operates the LawnBeast iOS application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app. By using the LawnBeast app, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address
- First and last name
- Phone number
- Company name
- Postal code and timezone
Business Data
- Customer records (name, email, phone, address)
- Customer property information (address, lot size)
- Jobs and scheduling data (dates, services, status, time tracking)
- Invoices and quotes (line items, amounts, payment status)
- Staff and customer comments on jobs
Photos
- Job photos you capture or select (before, after, progress, damage)
- Photo metadata including GPS coordinates and timestamps when available
Location Data
- Approximate location (postal code) — used to display local weather conditions
- Device location (when you grant permission) — used as a fallback for weather if no postal code is set
Analytics & Diagnostic Data
- App usage events — for example signing in, viewing or creating jobs, customers, invoices, and quotes, uploading photos, recording payment actions, and which screens you visit
- A device/app-instance identifier generated by our analytics provider
- Crash reports and diagnostic logs, including device model, operating system version, and the technical details of a crash or error
- An internal identifier for your account, associated with the analytics and crash data above so we can diagnose issues you experience or report
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide the core functionality of the LawnBeast app:
- Authenticating your account and maintaining your session
- Managing your customers, jobs, invoices, and quotes
- Displaying local weather conditions for your work area
- Attaching photos to job records
- Processing payments through your connected Stripe account
We also use analytics and crash-reporting data to understand how the app is used, to improve and prioritize features, and to detect, diagnose, and fix crashes and errors. This data is associated with an internal identifier for your account so we can troubleshoot issues you experience or report.
We do not use your data for advertising, to track you across other companies' apps or websites, or to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal information. The app contains no advertising SDKs or ad networks.
3. Third-Party Services
The app interacts with the following third-party services:
- Apple WeatherKit — receives your postal code or device location to provide weather forecasts. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Apple MapKit — used to convert postal codes to coordinates for weather lookups. Governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Stripe — payment processing is handled server-side through Stripe Connect. The iOS app does not directly collect payment card information. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) — collects app usage events, a device/app-instance identifier, and crash and diagnostic logs to help us measure how the app is used and to fix problems. Firebase Analytics is disabled in pre-release (debug) builds. Governed by the Firebase Privacy & Security documentation and the Google Privacy Policy.
All third-party services listed above are required to provide the same or equal level of protection of your data as described in this Privacy Policy.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Authentication tokens are stored in your device's Keychain (encrypted, hardware-backed storage)
- All network communication uses HTTPS encryption
- Sessions automatically expire after 30 minutes of inactivity
- A privacy screen is displayed when the app is in the background to protect visible data
- No sensitive data is cached on disk
5. Device Permissions
The app requests the following permissions, each of which is optional and requires your explicit consent:
- Camera — to capture job photos
- Photo Library — to select existing photos for job records
- Location (When In Use) — to display local weather conditions
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. Your data is only transmitted to LawnBeast servers to provide the app's functionality and to the third-party services listed above for their stated purposes.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained on our servers for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing . Upon receiving a verified deletion request, your personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.
8. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with the following rights:
- Right to Know — You may request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, and share about you.
- Right to Delete — You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt Out of Sale — We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- Right to Non-Discrimination — We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

9. Children's Privacy
The LawnBeast app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
